Norwin Percussion

The Norwin Percussion Department contains 20+ members who are also members of the Norwin Band.  These students are involved with Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Percussion Ensemble.  Our focus and goal of the Percussion Department is to create a "total" percussionist.  This involves having the students learn a wide gambit of percussion instruments instead of focusing on their main or primary instrument.

•   CONGRATULATIONS TO JOSH RIGONE AND JOSH DICK FOR MAKING THE ALL-STATE BAND!!!
• Congratulations!!!!!!-Josh Dick was selected for the All-Eastern Band.  He was chosen from All-State percussionists from 11 different states.  WAY TO GO JOSH!!!!  He will participate in the MENC All-Eastern conference next March in Providence, Rhode Island.

• Congratulations to the Percussion Ensemble.  They were invited to perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Conference in April of 2009.  They were selected from 130 CD entries throughout the state.  Way to go percs!
