The Concert Band is the second performing concert group at Norwin High School The Purpose of the concert band is to introduce wind & percussion students to the fundamentals of ensemble playing. Skills taught in Concert Band include: proper tone production, blending sounds, intonation, rhythmic reading and understanding, articulation, phrasing, listening skills and correct stylistic interpretation of the given literature. The Concert Band Rehearses Daily from November to May for 1 Hour and Prepares wind band literature to be performed at the Winter Concert, the Spring Concert, and the Spring PMEA Adjudication Festival. Under the direction of Mr. Greg Ondayko, the Concert Band performs Grade 3 Wind Band literature.

The Norwin High School Concert Band has been adjudicated at Musicfest Orlando in 2002 and 2005 earning a 1st and 2nd place ranking in AAA, and has earned a superior rating at the PMEA Adjudication Festival in 2007.
